“Live is short
and full of complicated predicaments, so make it useful and do your best for
anything you done”. That is just one of
the swords which stands anytime in my mind forcing this pathetic bondservant not
to stop thanking for His blessed. God never let us stand alone for this traffic
live by dozens obstacles leading us to the vile path. By His mercy, He crafts
us as human being whom couldn't be able to dive in the world just by your own foots.
Let’s take a look;
lastly feel so boring for the routine rounding the whole day. I myself am not typically
the personage enjoying monotone activity in an interlude. Let say, just a month
working as a teacher or mentor in a course concerning for SHS students has
eliminated the sense of the teacher as the most prestigious stance ever of career
(I bet you know the deep meaning of teacher, right). As if, I didn’t find my
passion for the field yet I do. Even, I almost had ever decided to wave the
resignation flag, but didn’t. So, I should say WAW then?
Haha…No guys, you
don’t… That was full of my appetites.
This week when I was
walking on the blogs, a fellow say the initial NH (her name means the light) my
fellow in Iman and debating community (God willing) writing enlightened of Jack
C Richards the classiest professor for the English study. Interested on him, then,
never let my mind freeze, in a couple of minutes I landed safely
like a jet
plane in a house on the screen on http://www.professorjackrichards.com/.
What a marvelous recovery,
yups.., his name is Jack C Richards born in New Zealand, obtained a Master of Arts degree
with first class honors in English from Victoria University in Wellington, New
Zealand, in 1966, and his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Laval University (a
French-Language University) in Quebec City, Canada in 1972. He has
worked in many parts of the world; including New Zealand, Canada, Indonesia,
Singapore, Hong Kong, and the United States (just visit his site for reading
more).
For
me he is refined and so cultivated. I don’t
mean he is the top of the most inspired Prof. no, yet mostly the sense of the deep
feelings as an English pupil who attain the knowledge directly from the Prof. Richards
(ciecie) through his findings, and writings (:P) which has never been known who he obviously is
even never seen before. For me, it is so
classy finally finding him, however just on the screen (regretless), the same
feeling I thought with my partner mentioned. You guys too, aren’t? Guys never
lie for yourself, particularly for those belong to English department students,
I bet you may say, “oooh..Yeah I just know about him, see his pictures finally,
up to now just hearing and seeing his name on my handbooks,”let say, “ Curriculum Development in Language Teaching (2001), Approaches
and Methods in Language Teaching (second edition 2001, with Ted
Rodgers), Longman
Dictionary of Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics (4th
edition 2010, with Richard Schmidt, and your Interchange (IC) book”
hehe, be honest!. And no less remarkable one Prof. Richards has ever stepped
his foot in De La Salle University, PHIL. Where we have been. Hehe forget it.J
Back to my
appetite of teaching, after reading a piece of his biography, reminded that,
life is too worthy letting it set off and have never been enough for you to reach
all the mesmerize episode within this fabulous journey. It is the time for you
guys to take this life on what your passion is. The time to share a chunk of your
delight to others, assign your privilege to underprivileged one. Believe it or
not we will find our happiness and joyfulness. Never been afraid bestowed each
others. This is the submission aimed chiefly for me.
Finally realized
so many things need to be accomplished, as a youth, let's wake up, guys. Be the
second, the third or even the thousandth Jack C Richards who dedicated his life
for education, not just like him, we have so many inspired leaders and
personalities even better. Do not mention them because too many. Working as a
volunteer in His path, social, education, economical, environment, stability,
etc sides it is abundant.
Thanks NH for
your reminder, already wake up from my moodyJ.
